MORPHOLOGICAL AND PROPERTIES OF PORTLAND-COMPOSITE CEMENTS WITH CLASS C FLY ASH

نویسندگان

چکیده

Portland-composite cements (PCC) were prepared with partial substitution of 5 to 25% class C fly ash, obtained from East Java steam power plant. Properties the composite was evaluated, through setting time (initial and final) compressive strength (3, 7, 28 days) compared control PCC. Setting is retarded in higher ash content. The retardation highest PCC ash. Lower after 3 7 days curing for 5-25% comparison cement, since pozzolanic reaction still did not show its effect. After days, than that cement because effect, highlighted by increase substituted 5% 10% 16.48 MPa 16.52 MPa, respectively. This attributed differences activity applied explained Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM), which shows had more Tobermorite presented cement.

SEM/EDX characterization of the hydration products of belite cements from class C coal fly ash

This paper presents the microscopic characterization of two types of fly ash belite cements and their hydration products by means of scanning electron microscopy (SEM), energy-dispersive X-ray (EDX) microanalysis and X-ray diffraction analysis. The cements were obtained from ASTM class C coal fly ash by the hydrothermal-calcination route in water (FABC-2-W) and NaOH 1M solution (FABC-2-N). The ...

Mechanical Properties of Concrete Composites with Replacement of Class C Fly Ash and Silicafume

The results of experimental investigations on the study of concrete with partial replacement of cement are presented in this paper. The concrete grade of M30 has been selected and designed as per Indian Standard method. The specimens based on control mix have been cast without fly ash and silica fume. Cement was replaced by 0%, 10%, 20%, 30%, 40%, 50% and 60% of fly ash by the weight. 20 % of s...

Mechanical Properties of Epoxy Resin – Fly Ash Composite

There has been significant increase in use of glass fibre reinforced composites as structural materials in naval mine countermeasure surface ships. Sea mines when detonated emit underwater shock waves, which could impart severe loading to naval ship structure; there are attempts to model the response of a ship structure to this loading. For the model to be accurate & useful material property da...
